Kristen's hair

We had Kristen's hair cut today. Here is a photo of her minus 3 inches of hair. She wanted to show everyone her new haircut and show that her top tooth is coming in - all in one photo.

Last Day

Well, here it is.... my official last day of work. As it turns out today will also be the last time I call in sick. Sigh.

My daycare license arrived in the mail two days ago, so I'll be spending the weekend getting ready to enroll children. Ashton is excited to be able to stay home with me and to "have friends over". Kristen is looking forward to helping me with the little ones this summer. I just know she's imagining gathering all the children in a circle to learn the alphabet. I'm actually thinking I might try to rope her into preparing lunch everyday -he he. Caitlyn continues to pronounce everything in the house "mine", so we'll see how much she enjoys the experience.

Blanket

Since we haven't done anything worth writing about, I just had to post these photos of Caitlyn with her beloved blanket. When Caitlyn saw the photos her face crumpled and she cried "Mine!"

Kristen's meet

We spent Saturday afternoon in Wamego at Kristen's gymnastics meet. This is her third one of the season. While I wouldn't say it was her best meet, I enjoyed it. I'm always amazed at what she can do. The team took first place - GO CATTS! The highlight for Kristen was going back the next day to work the concession stand with her dad. She loves watching the older girls compete, and according to Chris, she had about two months worth of candy from the concession stand while they worked! Thanks Chris!

It's a.....DOG

Meet the newest member of our family, Maizey Jane. We adopted this 2 year old Lab/Pointer mix from the local animal shelter. Although she is currently shedding buckets of hair, we love her. She couldn't be sweeter or more well behaved! If only I could say the same about the kids :)

Btw, Chris would like everyone to know that this photo is an "old" picture of our deck. He recently spent a Saturday adding the railing to those stairs and staining the upper and lower decks. Go Chris!
