One Year Anniversary

Just realized April 12th marked one year since the start of this blog. I just love looking back through the posts and seeing how much my children have grown! I wish my photo albums were up to date, though - it seems that I stopped putting photos in them around the time I started blogging :)

Enjoying spring

This is a little behind, but here's what we've been up to:

A sprinkling of snow was enough for us!

Finally got a proper snow for building a snowman:



Then it was warm: (Kristen is so... nice, when she doesn't know I'm watching:))

Kittens have arrived

We became "foster parents" through the Riley County Humane Society in February and were almost immediately given this little calico cat whom we were told was expecting "soon". It was a long 5 weeks of waiting, but we were so excited to meet the kittens on Monday afternoon. Here is their first photo (there are 5 babies - not sure where one is hiding). I'll try to add pictures as they grow!

These kittens will all be available for adoption in 6 weeks! Guaranteed to be well socialized :)

St. Pat's parade

Kristen had a blast at the parade on saturday. She walked with Grandma and some of the center staff and children and enjoyed handing out candy! I couldn't believe she was the only one wearing a coat - Hello! It was 39 degrees!

Kristen's Dancenastics Performance

Kristen's dancenastics class had a great performance. Arm wraps and accessories were too cute!

She had way too much fun practicing at home!

Creative use of space

I'm not sure how he got in this position, but getting him out required a wrench and screwdriver. Seriously. His body wouldn't come up and his head wouldn't fit down. Amazing!

Friends

Kristen had her first sleepover at our house, which ended up being a mini-sleepover (without the whole "all night" thing), but the girls had a great time together that evening. We had a foot spa going here:

And Ashton hosted his first playdate the same night. It turned out to be easier to do two than just one because Ashton stayed busy and out of the girls' business.
